Super Bowl Steak Nachos

Football is coming to an end after another season of blood, sweat, and beers. Most of us are discussing the draft and how next year your team is finally breaking through. The luckily select few are nervously awaiting Sunday. The last Sunday.

The Super Bowl is kind of like any other NFL Sunday. Beer, wings, snacks combined with sitting on the couch. But this time it is different. Everyone watches this game, including clueless sorority girls. The Super Bowl is a perfect excuse to break out the cooking skills you’ve been honing all semester. Go big or go home. Or if you are already at your house, go big.

Well, there is no need to reinvent the wheel here. If there is one thing that is a guaranteed hit with any group of drunk individuals, it’s nachos. Just like the teams in the Super Bowl, you’re playing for keeps. Load it up with cheese, steak, black beans, and avacado. Take no prisoners. Load those damn nachos up. Come monday, it’s going to be a long time before you have an excuse to sit on your couch to enjoy top level sports.

Until March Madness. Or pretty much any day of the week you feel like sitting around and drinking. God Bless ESPN 1-6

Ingredients:

1 bag of tortilla chips
1 bag of shredded cheese (I used mozzarella since that’s what I had, you can also grate additional cheeses on top. Really it’s whatever you have. Just load it up)
leftover Sigma Grilled Steak you made from last night, cut into small pieces
and the Broke Black Beans too
1 avocado, diced in small pieces
fresh Game Day Salsa

Cooking:

1. Preheat oven or toaster oven to 350 degrees. Lay out the tortilla chips on a tray that can be placed in the oven. Add a generous layer of cheese to the top.

4. Top with avocado and salsa. Transfer to a serving plate or just say screw the presentation.

5. Devour with your friends. Enjoy the final bittersweet minutes of Football. Until next season when your Jaguars are a lock to win it all!
